Liberty Premium Grooming Co. Virtu Beard Balm
Balm & Conditioner
Everyone can benefit from some extra hold. Having the ability to shape and thicken your man mane is half the fun of growing out your facial hair. Without turning to a wax, the Virtu Beard Balm will condition and provide a firm hold for hours. Liberty beard balm can provide just that!
Keeping your hair healthy and conditioned is always a top priority of hairy men. Oils will keep things in check and the everlasting options balms will have you adding some light shaping while also conditioning. The common problem with balms is the lack of styling options you can achieve with them. If styling is what you're looking for, then look to beeswax as the key ingredient responsible for this. This will give your facial hair some hold and thickness without making it crunchy.
Liberty Premium Grooming Co is one of the top-rated product companies in the industry. Within their range, they have a balm that contains optimal amounts of beeswax without turning it into a wax where Shea butter is removed from the ingredients.
It's also a great beginner balm as the support and customer service from Liberty Premium Grooming Co is unmatched when we compare them to other manufacturers. But more on that later.
I knew I had to buy some products from these guys. I've heard about their unparalleled customer service and the high beeswax contents of their products for styling. That's two major ticks off the boxes for me if they can live up to the hype.
As with most hair products, you only need to use a small amount of this balm to cover the whole beard and the skin underneath. I used the back of my fingernail to scrape a small amount. The balm is colorless and was quite thicker than other balms like Honest Amish for example, which made it difficult to scrape it out sometimes. With a good amount of pressure and friction the balm melts into a soft pomade. I hate clumps so I was nervous it might not blend well due to the thickness and some products are known to be too waxy that they don't melt properly.
After my first application, it left some wax and grease in my beard that would soak in after some time giving my hair a soft and manageable feel to it. Once it blends in my beard takes on that natural feel with no greasiness or stickiness when touched. I can immediately notice the thickening effect it has on the beard from the hold and shape from the beeswax
With the higher wax content of this product really gives off some stronger hold and styling potential but I'm not sure if I would recommend it for very long beards. Currently mine is about 2 inches long and I achieve a gentle hold that keeps my facial neat for a full day and helps the hair stay smooth, straight and laying down flat.
For anyone who needs more control and styling over their beard, this is the product to look at. Oil products fall short as they are used to address specific problems like itching and sensitive skin. Balms on the other hand, are great for shaping and styling as well as acting as a conditioner. But when looking at a good balm for styling, beeswax will give you that thicker looking beard with a strong hold and hydration.
The beeswax gives Liberty beard balm a more matte finish compared to other products that give your beard a shine or gleam. Because of the wax properties I've been using this balm first thing in the morning before I walk out the door to keep my beard in check throughout the day.
With a mix of botanical oils to create a more elegant beard, the first thing you'll notice after opening the tin is the unmistakable and unique scent of eucalyptus. It's a subtle scent that can be described as woody and minty flavors that create an outdoorsy sensation. I don't even know if that makes sense but the smell sure isn't offensive to the nose. If you can get your hands on some eucalyptus products, give them a sniff and you'll be surprised how refreshing the aroma is.
Eucalyptus is considered the top note and comes with antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Although the scent is nice it will dissipate as with other balms.
The Argan oil and the Shea butter work together to not only keep your facial hair soft but to encourage new hair growth which is perfect for patchier beards. The base of beeswax contains Vitamin A and provides long lasting moisture that locks into the skin. With this profile of oils and
Liberty Premium Grooming Co is well known and respected for their customer care. Helping the customer, answering their questions and keeping them happy should be at the top of the list for any business and the Liberty beard balm doesn't disappoint. Their extraordinary customer service begins as soon as you sign up with them. I was sent a follow-up email right away after my purchase on how to use their grooming products.
The first was 'The Master Grooming Manual for bearded men' and I would recommend being on their email service as they send out a constant stream of useful bead care information. I posted to them in a few ways and experienced nothing short of excellent customer service. The small business is run so well that they will answer all your online questions within hours. This sort of support is something you don't see often. Providing useful information and answering important questions has always been a priority for this company and I find that everyone agrees.
This has got to be in my "Top 5 Best Products" of the year and is a definite choice for extra hold without going for a wax. The right amount of beeswax is the key to keeping this product soft while giving it strong styling abilities. If you have a scraggly unruly beard, then this is the kind of balm you want to hold down the fort down. Liberty beard balm will keep your facial conditioned and soft like other balms but its true power lies in it's superior ability to manage the shape of your facial hair.
